Toyota Eco Youth Programme 2023/2024: Inspiring environmental stewardship in youth

The 2023/2024 edition of the Toyota Eco Youth Programme, also known as TEY, has successfully concluded, leaving a significant mark on eco-consciousness among the youth. This initiative has effectively instilled the Toyota philosophy of environmental stewardship in young minds, inspiring them to make a meaningful difference in their communities.

UMW Toyota Motor and the Ministry of Education collaborated on the impactful Toyota Eco Youth programme, a visionary initiative designed to involve high school students in environmental problem-solving within their communities. This partnership highlights a commitment to nurturing eco-consciousness and practical solutions among the youth.

This year, 60 students from 15 schools showed off their amazing projects, tackling issues right in their own communities. The programme is going strong since 2001, and so far, it's inspired over 2,690 students from 506 schools!

Datuk Ravindran K, President of UMW Toyota Motor was really proud of what these young minds have achieved, highlighting how important it is for our future. 

"The impact of programmes like TEY on the younger generation is immeasurable. From its inception in 2001 to the present edition in 2023, TEY has consistently played a pivotal role in shaping the environmental consciousness of our youth."

The closing ceremony of the Toyota Eco Youth Programme was a grand affair, celebrating the achievements of participating schools. Each school was honored for their unique environmental projects, with special recognition given to the top performers in various categories. Esteemed guests from UMW Toyota and the Ministry of Education presented the awards.

2nd Runner Up: SMK RAJA PUAN MUDA TENGKU FAUZIAH, PERLIS

Best Presentation: SM ST JOHN, SABAH
