A brief about the new Toyota EVs -
Toyota bZ3X
The bZ3X is the production version of the BZ FlexSpace concept, previewed at last year’s Auto Shanghai show. It is a two-row electric SUV featuring a boxier design. The EV sports the brand's signature hammerhead-style lighting at the front, with the main headlamps positioned lower down for a unique and contemporary look. The rear is adorned with a simpler full-width light bar, adding a touch of elegance to the overall design.
There is also a roof-mounted Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) sensor, likely incorporating lidar technology for enhanced safety and autonomous driving capabilities.
Inside, the focus remains on modern functionality and driver-centric design with most vehicle functions accessible through a central touchscreen interface. This touchscreen-centric approach enhances user interaction and lends the cabin a clean layout. Other notable highlights include - a slim digital instrument display, white upholstery, a large panoramic sunroof, and a dual-tier centre console.
Toyota bZ3C
The Toyota bZ3C is based on the bZ Crossover Concept previewed at the same event last year. It is a fastback crossover EV with a sleek silhouette that combines aerodynamic efficiency with modern styling cues. Similar to the bZ3X, it also features the brand's signature hammerhead-style lighting at the front and rear, giving it a distinctive and futuristic appearance.
Adding to its streamlined design are retractable door handles. At the rear, the EV incorporates a diffuser-like element, highlighting its performance-oriented styling.
Inside, the bZ3C features a sophisticated and minimalistic dashboard design, with clean lines and a modern aesthetic. It houses a dual-tier center console and a large infotainment touchscreen serving as the central hub for controlling various functions. Also part of the kit are - a head-up display, a roof-mounted Advanced Driver Assistance System, and a panoramic roof.
Toyota has only released the official images of the EVs while keeping the specifications and pricing under wraps.
