This year marks Bentley’s 20th anniversary in China, celebrates with Mulliner collection
KUALA LUMPUR: Yes, the British automobile manufacturer has completed 20 years in China and to commemorate the occasion Bentely has created a unique collection of cars.
The list comprises four special models - The Guard, The Pall Mall, The Carnaby, and The Savile Row. All of them are inspired by a famous London location, wherein Bentley Motors was founded by W.O. Bentley.
The models mentioned above are nothing but the Continental GT, Flying Spur, Continental GTC, and Bentayga with Mulliner’s design and meticulous hand craftsmanship.
In total, the collection has 80 cars, 20 units for each model. Also, all the cars come with one of 20 markings denoting exclusivity.
As of now the Mulliner collection is limited to China and in coming months the first examples will make their debut in the lands of dragons.
Let us now discuss each of the four models in detail -
The Guard
- It is inspired by the famous Royal Guards protecting the Royal Household
- It mimics the guards red tunic and 18-inch black bearskin hat with its St James Red pearlescent paint and Beluga roof
- It also gets 21-inch black ten-spoke wheels, carbon fibre Styling Specification body kit in Beluga paint with a Moonbeam pinstripe
‘The Guard’ exterior badges in black - Bespoke 3-tone (Linen, Beluga, & Hotspur) cabin with Beluga lambswool rugs
- Bang & Olufsen sound system finished in Black & gold
- Royal Guard’s gold button inspired Gold Organ Stops that control the cabin heating, ventilation, and AC system
The Carnaby
- Based in Carnaby Street, London, it is the convertible model in the collection
- Available in four colour tones - Onyx, Radium, Orange Flame, and Jetstream II
- It comes with 22-inch black wheels finished in solid white accent, an Arctic pinstripe, and Carnaby bading on front wing
- On the inside it gets bespoke Radium hide accents, Beluga leather with contrast stitching in Radium & Silver, colourful diamond motif set into the passenger fascia
The Pall Mall
- It is a homage to the state limousine to the Queen which Bentley delivered in 2022 in celebration of her golden jubilee
- It features bespoke duo-tone Beluga over Claret paint along with 22-inch 10-spoke wheels, bright chromework and ‘Tha Pall Mall’ badge
- The four-seat cabin gets a bespoke front-to-rear colour split, a full-length center console on the rear, Burr Walnut finished rear doors, Piano Baroda Blue painted picnic tables at the front, and Open Pore Burr Walnut over High Gloss Burr Walnut veneer
- Also present is bespoke micro-piping in Pale Gold with contrasting Imperial Blue seat piping, a bespoke crown motif in the seat, loose-leather-trimmed cushions on the rear seat
The Savile Row
- This one uses the world-renowned home of tailoring as its inspiration. Here, traditional tailoring materials are given a modern twin
- It gets a clean Cumbrian Green bodywork, 22-inch ten-spoke wheels painted in Cumbrian Green with a bright machined finish
- On the inside, we see a beautiful bespoke colour split in Cumbrian Green & Portland hides with contrast stitching
- ‘Serenity’ seat quilting on the seat, backboard, and doors complemented by exclusive High Gloss Burr Elm veneer
- Suit and bow tie stitched to the headrests, bespoke treadplates, an overlay in the passenger fascia, exterior badging to the D pillar
