Dubbed as the world’s first super tourer, the DB12 heralds a new era for the British luxury sports carmaker as it comes with more V8 power, better dynamics, and next-level creature comforts.

According to the automaker, these output numbers are the best-in-class with a remarkable 34% increase over its predecessor The credit for this improvement goes to modified cam profiles, better compression ratios, larger diameter turbochargers, and better cooling.
On the transmission front, the DB12 is equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. The said transmission unit also boasts significant upgrades resulting in punchier in-gear acceleration. Performance figures include a century sprint of 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 325 kmph.
The new Aston Martin DB12 offers an impressive ride and handling with the help of the following bits -
- Electronic Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) system
- A new set of intelligent adaptive dampers and stiffer anti-roll bars
- Electronic Rear Differential (E-diff paired with the industry-leading Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system
- 21-inch forged alloy wheels shod with Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres

Aston Martin Group Chief Technology Officer, Roberto Fedeli said, “DB12 is a statement car. One that asserts Aston Martin’s position as a leader in performance, dynamics, engineering and technology. We have pushed every aspect of this car to be best-in-class. The result is more power and performance than its rivals. Combined with exceptional handling and an exciting soundtrack, it is a car with passion and a truly sporting character.”
“Crucially, thanks to its breadth of capability we have achieved this without compromising refinement, comfort and luxury. Together with our use of industry-leading dynamic control and infotainment systems, DB12 is the start of Aston Martin’s most exciting new era,” Fedeli added.
In terms of exterior, the new Aston Martin sports car features a restyled front fascia with a new grille, new LED headlight signatures, and a lower bumper. Also new for the DB12 are frameless side mirrors, wider wheel tracks, and badging.
The interior of the tourer is completely overhauled with a more elegant layout and bag full of the latest technology features. The list includes -
