When will the Lamborghini Temerario launch?
The Lamborghini Temerario is expected to launch in global markets later this year or early in 2025.How much does the new Lamborghini Temerario cost?
There is no information yet available on the Lamborghini Temerario pricing, however, it is likely to be priced over USD 400,000 (approx RM 1.7 million).Let’s know the Lamborghini Temerario in detail, starting with the powertrain.
Lamborghini Temerario engine and performance
The Lamborghini Temerario is the brand’s second hybrid sports car after the Revuelto. It combines a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 with three electric motors (each producing 150PS), two of which power the front wheels while the third one is positioned between the engine and gearbox.
The engine kicks out a maximum power of 800 PS from 9,000 to 9,750 rpm and a peak torque of 730 Nm between 4,000 and 7,000 rpm. The combined total output of the system stands at 920 PS, enabling the Lamborghini Temerario to run from zero to 100 kmph in just 2.7 seconds and clock a top speed of 343 kmph. The transmission duties are handled by an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
According to Lamborghini, the new V8 engine offers the same smoothness and linearity as the Huracán’s V10 naturally-aspirated mill with higher power and torque figures. Designed from scratch, the new engine comes with a 90-degree "Hot V" layout and a flat-plane crankshaft. It features two turbochargers that can boost up to 36 psi. The lightweight cast aluminium cylinder heads and titanium connecting rods reduce weight, while Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coated components allow the engine to rev up to 10,000 rpm.
The automaker has packed within an all-new aluminium space frame offering more room for taller passengers and a 20% increase in torsional stability over the Huracán.
Also part of the hybrid setup is a 3.8 kWh battery, allowing the front motors to drive the supercar on electricity alone. However, the automaker remained tight-lipped on the exact electric-only range. As for charging, the battery juices up in 30 minutes with the help of a 7 kW AC charger.
Speaking of the drivetrain settings, the Lamborghini Temerario comes with three settings - Recharge, Hybrid, and Performance. The five available drive modes are - Città (city), Strada (street), Sport, Corsa (race), and Corsa Plus (driver-aids off). The supercar can be driven solely on electric power in Città mode, while all other modes engage the V8 mill. The launch control and Drift Mode with four levels are also available.
Lamborghini Temerario wheels and braking system
The new Lamborghini supercar rides on 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels wrapped with customised Bridgestone tyres. The different tyre options include - Potenza Sport, Potenza Race, and Blizzak LM005 winter rubbers.
As for braking, the Temerario comes kitted with CCB Plus (Carbon Ceramic Brakes Plus) brakes with fixed mono-block callipers in aluminium with 10 pistons at the front and 4 pistons at the rear.
Lamborghini Temerario dimensions
The Lamborghini Temerario measures 4.706 mm in length, 1.996 mm in width (excluding mirrors), 1.201 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2.658 mm. The dry weight tips the scales at 1,690 kg.
