The All-New Ford Everest and Ford S-MAX Spied in Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur: The all-new Ford Everest and Ford S-MAX were speculated to be launched in Malaysia by the end of last month. But now that they haven't been launched, all we can get are some spy shots which hint towards an upcoming launch but not before the new year. Both cars were spotted undisguised on the roads with not even an inch of camouflage.
The white Everest seen here is most likely to be the base 2.2-litre variant with two-wheel drive as we can find smaller wheels and an absence of 'Titanium' badging at the rear end. Although, the red unit appears to be the range topping 3.2-litre all-wheel drive Titanium variant as it features huge 20-inch alloy wheels. Both the units were boasting new design language of Ford Everest.
Talking about Ford S-MAX, the spy shot of this car was not very clear so nothing much can be ascertained. Inspite of noticing the new taillights, it was unclear whether it is the S-MAX facelift or the all-new model making its way to Malaysia. You can expect this new MPV to retain its current 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine which churns out a maximum power of 240 PS and is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.
With the Ringgit's value going down day by day, you can expect a price rise for both of these models. Earlier in August, the Ford Everest price was stated to be RM180k which rose to RM230k-240k for the Titanium variant. As for the S-MAX, the expected price can rise above RM200k.
