Tesla Model S was removed from Consumer Reports recommendation-suffered with reliability issues.
Kuala Lumpur: According to the LA Times, the recommendation which was previously given by customer reports to “The Testa Model S” has been withdrawn now. The issue became worse when the shares of Tesla Motors were sold with an increase of 10%.
The below average rating given in the annual report of Tesla left the investors cautious about the company. It appears that the withdrawal was due to the reliability issues which the customers labelled as “complicated maladies.”
The total of 1,400 owners of Testa Model S were surveyed, on which they reported issues related to the power and changing equipment, drivetrain and the large touchscreen centre console. The workers also complained about the squeaks, rattling and leaks from the body and the sunroof.

Consumer Report's director of Automative testing, Jake Fisher said,”we noticed that the electric motor needs to be replaced as the older vehicles are getting up on miles. Also, the onboard charging system was facing issues in charging the battery.”
For the new model S cars, Fisher stated complaints regarding the functioning of the sunroof and door handle issues.
Automotive practice leader, Thilo Koslowski at Gartner Inc suggested that strong customer satisfaction and service can help tackle the unfavorable rating. He believed that Tesla customers are loyal and hold a strong belief and will excuse some of the problems. Considering the long-term perspective, fisher also added that the current problems will not harm the company's future growth from now.

Moreover, the drive of the Model S was recommended by the Consumer Reports and the customers rated Tesla's service as one of the best services in the world. At present, the company is also fixing bugs over the air so that customers don't have to visit the service centres.
