Sultan of Johor is now the proud owner of worlds most expensive MACK truck
Kuala Lumpur/Brisbane: The Sultan of Johor added another pair of luxurious wheels to the Royal car collection and this time it's none other than a Gigantic MACK Truck. World’s most expensive Mack truck will now rest in the garage of the Malaysian Royal family. Yesterday it was delivered to the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, in Brisbane. The price of the truck was not disclosed, but it smashes the previous record of A$481,000 (RM1,457,490) for a customised rig, as per the ABC News. Mack customised truck is so far the most glamorous and expensive truck ever to roll out of Mack's Australian factory.
The dazzling Super-Liner took a year to build at the manufacturer’s Wacol headquarters, south-west of Brisbane. ABC news reported that the luxurious big-rig has some of the fanciest features never seen on a truck. The truck is loaded with a six-camera closed-circuit television system, two flat screen television sets, a stone-topped kitchen area, barbecue, double bed and seats with 72,000 stitches of gold thread. The front bonnet of the MACK is embedded with a solid-gold tiger hood ornament defining the royalty of the owner.
The Sultan of Johor received the Palace Truck himself in Brisbane. He said,” This is my dream — am I smiling?” HRH Sultan Ibrahim looked highly delighted with the end result.
“I have always appreciated Australia’s engineering skills and have collected a few Holden cars over the years. “I am looking forward to showing its workmanship to the people of Johor as soon as the Super-Liner is shipped over,” he said.
Sources suggest that the Sultan ordered the heavy-duty rig to tow his powerboat around the country.
The customised features in this truck include:
- A specially-built sleeper unit 80 per cent larger than standard and fully upholstered with imported South African leather.
- Royal emblems embroidered into the front seats with 72,000 stitches of gold thread.
- A gold tiger hood ornament specially commissioned from Wallace Bishop.
- A rear leisure deck complete with sunshades, deck chairs and pull-out barbecue.
- Solid jarrah timber flooring throughout the cab, sleeper unit and rear leisure deck.
- A six-camera CCTV system linked to two flatscreen TVs inside the vehicle.
- Police-standard flashing lights and an ear-popping four air-horns.
- Programmable strip-lighting built into the full length of the cab and deck flooring.
- A stone-topped kitchen area including a fridge, microwave and grill.
- Extra-wide Michelin X1 tyres for the smoothest possible ride.
- A Bose surround sound system and X-Box and Playstation consoles.
Mack Trucks Australia’s VP Dean Bestwick said, “The fanciest extra in most Aussie trucks is a microwave or a small fridge. We’d never contemplated the features that have been included in His Majesty’s truck. This is the most luxurious truck to have been built in Australia and probably the planet.”
Sources suggest that the Royal Mack will take it's first stroll in the country soon at a charity run by the end of this month. It will be quite a sight for the viewers witnessing this Royal Juggernaut.
