Subaru XV 2016 Launched in Thailand

Kuala Lumpur: The all-new Subaru XV 2016 has been launched at the ongoing Thailand Motor Expo with upgraded mechanics and new appearance. Marking an ASEAN debut, Subaru XV price range would lie between THB 1,098,000 (RM129,391) and THB 1,198,000 (141,539). Further, thai-spec XV would be made available in two variants namely 2.0i and 2.0i-Premium.

Under the hood, it would be powered by a 2.0-litre DOHC 4 cylinder petrol engine which churns out a maximum power of 150 PS at 6200 rpm along with a peak torque of 196 Nm at 4200 rpm. Further, it is mated to a six-speed Lineartronic CVT transmission which sends its power to all the four wheels via Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (SAWD) system.

Towards the exterior, the front fascia of Subaru XV 2016 has been redesigned. Apart from the reworked hexagonal grille, it receives new halogen headlights along with C-shaped LED daytime running lights. Below that L-shaped positioning lights can also be found around the fog lamps. At the rear end, clear-coloured taillights can also be seen. Further, it is anchored to redesigned 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels.

Inside, the 2.0i variant features leather seats along with contrast orange stitching on steering wheel, gear knob and other trim pieces. Further, a Kenwood double-DIN unit replaces the older multimedia unit. Moving over, the 2.0i-P variant gains a 6.2-inch touchscreen multimedia unit along with Bluetooth and AUX inputs. Moreover, keyless entry and the start button is also provided for the driver. Being driver-centric, the Subaru XV 2016 also gains electric power seats, additional steering controls and multi-information display.

Talking about safety, the automaker has blessed this car with dual front airbags and knee airbags. Further, its braking mechanism features anti-lock braking system (ABS) along with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA). Moreover, it is also integrated with vehicle dynamic control and ISOFIX child seat anchors.
