Subaru launches all-new XV GT Edition in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: TC Subaru has launched the all-new XV GT Edition in Malaysia, which is a new addition to the crossover series named XV. It is based on the standard 2.0i-P variant, which is already present in the country. The latest model is the Subaru XV flagship variant for the Malaysian market. It comes with a lot of styling enhancements along with some new features.

Subaru XV GT Edition

All-new Subaru XV GT Edition is the result of the collaboration between Masahiko Kobayashi and Giken Co Limited. The former one is famous for being Subaru Corporation’s chief designer.

Design-wise the Subaru GT edition comes with lip extensions for both front and rear bumper, a roof spoiler, and side skirts. These elements are the parts of a full exterior package and also have silver accents. The SUV rides on the fan blade designed 17-inch dual-tone alloys. The rear diffuser now gets a black paint job instead of getting the body color.

A side view monitor system is also present, and the cameras are placed perfectly at the lower half of the side mirrors. This helps in providing the driver with a better view.

This includes an infotainment system of an eight-inch touchscreen, dual-zone climate control, power-adjustable driver’s seat, TFT LCD instrument cluster display of 4.2-inch, automatic LED headlamps, a rear-view camera, paddle shifters, and a dash-mounted multi-function display of 6.3-inch.

It is capable of churning out a maximum power of 156 PS, while the peak torque sticks at 196 Nm. The power is sent to the wheels via a Lineartronic CVT having seven virtual ratios. The powertrain also comes with the Symmetrical AWD system (with X-Mode).

The all-new Subaru XV GT Edition gets a price tag of around RM 130,788, while it does not include the insurance. Moreover, it comes with a five-year or 100,000 km warranty.
