Subaru introduces new Advance Style Edition for its XV crossover

KUALA LUMPUR: Subaru introduced the XV small crossover back in 2011 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. And as the car completes a decade, Subaru celebrates the occasion in style by introducing a special edition model. Called the Subaru XV Advance Style Edition, the model is currently limited to the Japanese market.

The new XV Advance Style Edition sure adds to the beauty via its Gunmetal theme and so much more. On the outside, dark metallic hue covers the grille, front & rear skid plates, L-shaped front fog lamp surrounds, shark fin antenna, door mirrors, 18-inch turbine-style alloy wheels, tailgate spoiler, and black roof rails.

The cabin is made stylish as well, it gets dark interior trims with contrasting yellow stitching on the part-leather seats, armrest, and dashboard.

What else? Well, customers can now opt for a seat heater in conjunction with fabric seats and the attractive Sapphire Blue Pearl hue has been extended to the 1.6 petrol trim.

What about under the hood configuration?

The XV is powered by a naturally-aspirated 1.6-litre flat-four petrol engine making a maximum power of 115 PS at 6,200 rpm along with a peak torque of 148 Nm at 3,600 rpm.

Also available is an e-Boxer hybrid mill that utilizes a 2,.0-litre Atkinson-cycle unit that pumps out 145 PS and 188 Nm of torque. The e-motor churns out 14 PS and 65 Nm of torque.

On the transmission front, a Lineartronic CVT and Subaru’s symmetrical all-wheel-drive system come as standard.

In Malaysia, Subaru has just introduced the facelifted XV model.
