Staggering Pre-Launch Response for Hyundai Creta
KUALA LUMPUR: Hyundai Motors has received an unbelievable response for its upcoming SUV, Creta before its launch in India. The company has already gathered around 10,000 bookings whose launch is still awaited.
The main reason behind such an overwhelming response is the flood of its leaked pictures over the internet last month. It certainly helped the company to receive orders as the un-camouflaged images helped the potential customers to peep inside the car allowing them to make up their mind ahead of its launch.
July 21 has been scheduled for its launch in India, which is quite similar to Hyundai ix25 that was recently launched in the Chinese market.
"Creta has created immense excitement even before its launch with its bold and stylish looks. We are delighted to receive an overwhelming response with over 28,500 enquiries and 10,000 customers showing their interest to live the Creta life. We thank the customers for their strong belief in Hyundai brand and assure them of our commitment towards meeting their high aspirations on world class quality products.", said by Senior Vice President - Sales & Marketing, Hyundai Motor India, Rakesh Srivastava.
It is expected to be exported to South-East Asian countries after it gets through with the production phase, which is taking place in India at Chennai's manufacturing plant. So, there is a possibility of this car to land on the Malaysian shores in the coming few months.
Indian market will get three versions of Creta: S, SX and SX(O). The second basic model, SX will be equipped with features like keyless entry, LED Daytime Running Lights, 16-inch alloy wheels and chrome radiator grille. While, SX(O) variant will get an inch large alloys, that is 17-inch wheels, chrome rims and refreshed tail lights.
Peeping inside the cabin, the dashboard gets an elegant design made up of premium plastic, 5-inch touch screen system, automatic climate control, GPS navigation and audio & phone controls mounted steering.
Under the flesh, there are three engine options: 1.4L CRDi, 1.6L CRDi and 1.6L petrol. The smaller diesel engine will produce power of 90 PS and 220 Nm of torque. While, the 1.6L CRDi diesel engine is good enough for 133 PS and 260 Nm of torque. The petrol variant is capable to yield out 126 bhp and 151 Nm of torque. All three trims will get a 6-speed manual transmission system, while the diesel engines are expected to be mated with an automatic transmission too.
