SPYSHOTS: Tesla Model S spotted in Malaysia again!
Kuala Lumpur: Another set of images are out now for Malaysians of the much-awaited Tesla Model S. This time the spy shots have been taken by reader Christopher Khoo.
On comparison, the spy shots revealed earlier for the Tesla vehicle and the images revealed now are a little bit different and flares a unique character. This indirectly gives a hint about the Tesla Model S progress. The earlier discontinued P85+ variant, which was equipped with the powerful engine lineup has been now replaced with the quicker dual-motor, all-wheel drive P85D.
The car is said to be powered with a rear electric motor that whips up a maximum power output of about 310 kW (416 hp) along with the peak torque of 600 Nm and draws power from a 85 kWh battery. This powertrain enables the car to achieve 0 to 100 kmph of mark on the speedometer in 4.2 seconds flat, which is an appreciable count for a vehicle of this size and dynamics. Although, this figure is beaten by the P85D’s three seconds. On the verso of the title, the P85+ has a massive 426 km range thanks to the larger battery pack.

During the starting months of this year, the Malaysian Green Technology Corporation (GreenTech Malaysia) has made a public announcement for the 120 units launch of Tesla Model S, to be leased to government-linked companies (GLCs) for a two-year period. The delayed response was due to the model type (70D and 85 models) of the car.
