smart Malaysia upgrades Hello smart App - Simplifies payments with debit or credit cards

Word on the street is that the smart owners are lucky as the smart app is one of the coolest apps around for EV owners, and to provide an even friendlier experience, it just got even better!

Smart Malaysia has upgraded the Hello smart App to make owning a smart EV smoother and more straightforward. The updated app now simplifies payments with debit or credit cards, letting owners easily pay for charging their vehicles or buy in-car internet data right through the app.

Speaking of internet data, owners can also purchase in-car internet data through the app and it's pretty affordable, with prices like RM8 for 1GB, RM21 for 3GB, and RM30 for 5GB.

One of the key features of the Hello Smart App is its integrated charging map, giving you access to about 70% of public charging stations across the country. It even simplifies the loan application process if you're planning to purchase a smart EV, setting a new standard for easy EV ownership.

Since its launch on November 21, 2023, Smart Malaysia has been a hit, registering around 200 units for the smart #1. 

The smart #1, launched in Malaysia, is available in three variants: Pro, Premium, and Brabus. Each variant brings its unique set of features and specifications to cater to different preferences.

1. smart #1 Pro:

   • Priced at RM189,000.
   • Equipped with a single motor rear-wheel drive.
   • Delivers a maximum power output of 272 hp and torque of 343 Nm.
   • Accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds.
   • Top speed is 180 km/h.
   • Comes with a 49 kWh LFP battery, offering a range of 315 km (WLTP).
   • The Pro variant includes features like a digital instrument cluster, infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto support, among others.

1. smart #1 Premium:

   • Priced at RM219,000.
   • Similar powertrain as the Pro variant but with a 66 kWh ternary (NCM) battery.
   • Offers a longer range of 440 km (WLTP).
   • Premium features include a head-up display, leather seats, a 13-speaker audio system, and ventilated front seats.

1. smart #1 Brabus:

   • Priced at RM249,000.
   • Features a dual-motor all-wheel drive.
   • Generates a higher power output of 428 hp and 543 Nm of torque.
   • This variant can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.
   • Despite sharing the same battery capacity as the Premium variant, it offers a slightly lower range of 400 km (WLTP) due to the more powerful motors.
   • The Brabus variant is further enhanced with ultra-suede seats, Alcantara steering, and a sportier interior trim.

Since they are all sophisticated EVs, all variants of the smart #1 come with advanced driver assistance systems and other safety features like adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, and a 360-degree camera system.
