Save the date - 2022 Perodua Alza is just two days away!

KUALA LUMPUR: At long last, Perodua is ready to launch the new Alza on July 20 via livestream that will start at 12 pm on D-day. Sister model to the upcoming Toyota Veloz, the next-gen Alza is completely revamped aesthetically and mechanically. The automaker has been accepting bookings for the upgraded three-row SUV for the last one month. 

Here’s a quick recap of the things we know so far about the highly-awaited 2022 Perodua Alza.

• The new Alza is offered in three variants - X, H, and AV, tentatively priced between RM 62,000 and RM 75,000
• All variants are powered by a new EEV-rated 1.5-litre Dual VVT-i drivetrain, coupled with a new D-CVT automatic gearbox. While power figures are not yet confirmed, we do know the SUV will offer a best-in-class fuel economy of 22 kmpl

• The upgraded Alza version also gets a higher ground clearance level measuring 160 mm, which according to Perodua is the best height for a pleasant MPV drive in Malaysia
• Standard feature kit of the latest Alza includes LED headlights with follow-me-home function, door mirrors with LED turn signals, fabric seats, a standard audio system, digital AC controls, six airbags, auto high beam, and an Advanced Safety Assist pack

• With the higher variants, you will get automatic headlights, sequential turn signals, auto-retractable wing mirrors, 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, semi-leather seats, reverse camera, three driving modes (Eco, Normal, and Power), adaptive high beam, a 360⁰ Panoramic View, Adaptive Cruise Control, electronic parking brake and more
• Included in the 2022 Perodua Alza colour options are Ivory White, Glittering Silver, Elegant Black, Garnet Red, and Vintage Brown. 

As per the Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Zainal Abidin Ahmad, the company took time in designing the new Alza as it wanted to comprehend what kind of improvements the customers want to see in the upgraded version. It ensures the new Alza comes with the required improvements.

Well, in a couple of days, the new Alza will be on the roads and we can experience those improvements by ourselves.
