Rolls Royce Spectre EV arrives in Malaysia, price starts from RM 2 million
KUALA LUMPUR: Globally revealed in October 2022, Rolls Royce's first-ever electric car, the Spectre, has landed on Malaysian shores. Touted as the ‘Ultra-Luxury Electric Super Coupé’, the Rolls Royce Spectre is a two-door fastback model that is built upon the Architecture of Luxury platform, which also underpins the eighth-generation Phantom.

Equipped with a 102-kWh capacity battery pack, the Rolls Royce Spectre EV offers a WLTP-claimed driving range of 530 km.The premium EV features the brand’s rich heritage seamlessly blended with EV-specific elements. On the front, it gets the widest Rolls Royce grille, which integrates 22 LEDs for soft illumination along with vanes angled for aero-efficiency. The car also boasts the iconic RR headlights, sleek DRLs, rear-hinged doors, 23-inch wheels, and the new aero-tuned Spirit of Ecstasy ornament. The drag coefficient of the EV is rated at just 0.25.
The interior sports a white theme with exquisite trims and premium upholstery. Adding to the cabin's spectacle is the Starlight Headliner integrated into the roof which combines 1200 stars. We can also see a total of 4,796 stars on the Starlight Doors and 5,500 stars on the passenger-side dashboard digital screen.
Also part of the kit is a fully digital driver’s display, new ‘Spirit’ digital software, and an onboard voice assistant.
The new Rolls Royce Spectre measures 5,475 mm in length, 2,017 mm in width, and 1,573 mm in height, and spans a wheelbase of 3,210 mm. The EV tips the scales at 2,890 kg with a 700 kg battery pack.
The EV comes powered by a pair of electric drive motors combinedly producing a maximum power of 585 PS and a peak torque of 900 Nm. The motors are hooked with a 102-kWh capacity battery pack that offers a WLTP-claimed driving range of 530 km. The battery can be charged at a maximum rate of 22 kW AC charging and 195 kW DC charging. The former takes 5 hours and 30 minutes for 100% SoC while the latter does 80% of the job in just 34 minutes.
