Rolls Royce delivered over 6k cars in 2022, Cullinan remains best-seller
KUALA LUMPUR: The luxury carmaker Rolls Royce ended the year 2022 on a smashing note by selling more than 6000 cars in a single 12-month period for the first time. The exact sales for the UK-based marque for the year stood at 6,021 with a y-o-y growth of 8% compared to the 5,586 units registered in 2021.

The demand for the newly-introduced Spectre EV also remained above expectations, as confirmed by the automaker. However, it kept numb on disclosing the exact reservations accumulated so far for the pure-electric car. It is to be noted that the deliveries of the Spectre will commence in the fourth quarter of 2023.
Talking about the top regions where Rolls Royce delivered the most cars, America remained the largest region for the luxury car brand, followed by China. The reports revealed that the UK and Germany were also among the markets which witnessed record sales.
Also contributed to smashing sales results is the increasing demand for the Rolls Royce bespoke models. According to the automaker, customers are paying an average amount of $500,000 for the customised models. The Middle East market is leading the sales of Bespoke products globally.
While commenting on the record-high sales, Torsten Muller-Otvos, Rolls-Royce’s CEO, said, “2022 has been a momentous year for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. Not only did we reveal Rolls‑Royce Spectre, our marque’s first ever fully-electric series model to the world, it was also the first year we ever delivered more than 6,000 cars in a single 12-month period, with strong demand across our entire product portfolio. But as a true House of Luxury, sales are not our sole measure of success: we are not and never will be a volume manufacturer.”
