Renault launches two variants of Koleos facelift in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: TC Euro Cars, Renault’s franchise bearer in Malaysia, has declared the official launch of Koleos facelift. The car was previewed earlier this month at Premium Auto Car Expo (PACE). Renault is offering two trims in Malaysia - Standard and Signature with price tags of RM 179,888 and RM 189,888 respectively. Both the figures are on-road prices excluding the insurance charges. 

The new Koleos features a free service package for 100,000 km or five years (whichever comes first). The warranty offered by the brand is five years, along with unlimited mileage. The powertrain for both the variants is identical,

which is a 2.5-litre four-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol motor. It is capable of churning out 171 PS of maximum power at 6,000 rpm and 226 Nm of peak torque at 4,400 rpm. The power is sent to the front wheels via an X-Tronic CVT gearbox that helps the car to return a combined fuel economy of 12.34 kmpl.

There can be some difference spotted if compared to the vehicle showcased at PACE 2019. The Signature trim Koleos comes with a panoramic sunroof and 19-inch wheels covered with 225/55 tyres while misses out on the Bose speakers, which was seen on the preview car. The standard trim features 18-inch wheels covered with 225/60 tyres.

The infotainment system flaunts an R-Link 2 system along with a portrait-oriented 8.7-inch touchscreen that supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard. The safety features offered include two lateral/thorax airbags for front occupants, two adaptive front airbags, all-round load-limiting,

two curtain rear ISOFIX child seat anchors, blind-spot warning system, pre-tensioning seatbelts, brake assist, stability and traction control, EBD and hill start assist, rear-view camera, along with front, rear and side parking sensors.
