Renault Clio GT Line teased prior to October 30 launch

Kuala Lumpur: Renault has teased its upcoming Clio GT Line prior to it's launch in Malaysia on October 30. The hot hatchback was previewed earlier with an estimated price tag of RM 118,00. The car is now on display at the Sri Hartamas Renault showroom from October 27 to November 1, potential buyers can visit to check out complete details about the car.

Clio GT line is the more sporty and elegant looking sibling to the company's Clio RS 200. As per the Renault's claim , “Clio GT Line is for drivers who want a sporty look but are not in the market for the high performance of an RS model.” Thus, the GT line is focused more on the extensive design and styling rather than the refinement under it's hood.

The front fascia of the Renault Clio GT line features the unique qudruple Renault badge set within a gloss black assembly that bridges the (halogen) headlights while LED daytime running lights is to be found lower down. The side profile of the car is accentuated by its 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 205/45 tyres featured as standard with darkened side mirror housings. Apart from it the car features tinted rear windows and integrated rear door handles enhancing the sporty character of the French vehicle.

Under the bonnet, the Renault Clio GT Line is powered by a turbocharged 1.2 litre TCe 120 four-cylinder petrol engine with 118 hp at 4,900 rpm and 190 Nm of torque from 2,000 rpm. This impressive power is transmitted to the front axle of the car owing to Renault's six-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The Clio GT line hits a century mark on the speedometer in just 9.9 seconds and continues to escalate until it hits a top speed of 199 km/h.

Moving inside, the Clio GT line features trimmed fabric seat while a leather-wrapped steering wheel is featured as standard. The car is loaded with an in-car entertainment which features a 7-inch MediaNav touchscreen navigation and infotainment system.

Renault Clio GT will be completely built in Turkey. On the safety front the car will be equipped with front, lateral head and thorax airbags, seat belts with pre-tensioners, Isofix mounts on the front passenger and two rear seats, ESC, hill start assist and ABS with brake assist as standard.

Renault Clio GT line will me made available by the company is four colour choices, namely Diamond Black, Glacier White, Malta Blue and Flame Red.
