Proton reveals November 2023 sales report; YTD shows a growth of 12%
KUALA LUMPUR: In November 2023, Proton managed to sell a total of 12,296 cars, including both domestic and export markets. This brings the total sales for the year to 141,900 units (138,876 domestic and 3,024 export sales), surpassing the previous year's annual sales volume of 141,432 units. It marks a 12% year-on-year growth and positions the brand as the second-largest automotive brand with a market share of 19.7%.

As indicated in the table above, the Proton X Series, which includes the X50, X70, and X90 models, continues to win the hearts of Malaysian car buyers with a total sales volume of 201,710 units on the road. “The X Series, known for its innovation, performance, and style, has become a symbol of Proton's commitment to delivering vehicles that resonate with the diverse preferences of consumers,” says the automaker.
As far as the response of the newly launched Proton S70 is concerned, the sedan is receiving a lot of love. The number of bookings has tripled following its launch and has now crossed the 900-per-week mark. The total bookings for the S70 have already exceeded 3,000 units, as confirmed by Proton.
