Proton Iriz & Suprima S will be used as a police patrol car
Kuala Lumpur: The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) is looking forward to use the Proton Iriz and the Proton Suprima S, replacing the Proton Iswara which is currently provided to the department employees.
Right now, Proton Iswara is used as a patrol car by a small branch police chief, which is going to be replaced by Proton Iriz. While Suprima S would be used by the high designated police officers in the department.
According to sources, the opening ceremony and the handing over of the keys will be implemented formally in early November by the Chief of Police, Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.
In mid-August, police began receiving 1,200 Proton Inspira for new patrol cars made in stages from the end of this year. Replacement of police patrol car was seen as an attempt to improve the image and integrity of the police forces.

Recently, more than 1,200 patrol cars Inspira model has been given to the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) to replace 100 police patrol cars Armor model that has also expired leases. In addition, the Proton Preve is also in the line-up as the next option to be offered for the same purpose.
As seen from the photos, Proton Iriz and Suprima S has received few graphic modifications to its exteriors that will make road appearance in the next month as new patrol vehicle. The livery now adds on reflective green stripes on the bonnet, flanks and even the tailgate from the looks of said cars.

Even more, PDRM is also planning to enhance the equipment status in the vehicles by providing the C4i system, involving the business of directing, controlling, communication, coordination and information, with Global Positioning System (GPS) technology.
