Porsche honours the 1952 356 S Cabriolet with a special model

KUALA LUMPUR: The Porsche 356 S Cabriolet marked with the number ‘11’ became the first Porsche to cross the Carrera Panamericana road race in Mexico. And the automaker is now paying tribute to the same by introducing the Porsche 911 Carrera Panamericana Special model.

Apart from being the first Porsche to finish the race, it was also the fastest participating car with engines up to 1500 cc. That being said, the special edition Porsche is based on the rear-wheel drive 911 Carrera S Cabriolet model from 2022.

On the outside, the car features a white engine grille, Graffiti Grey roof canvas, 20/21-inch Turbo design wheels at the front & rear, hand-painted inner drums & spokes in Gentian Blue metallic tone with grey central hubs, and black brake calipers. Also, the upper part of the windshield with Porsche in the white and black background reminds one of the original cars.

The cabin is no less and features adaptable sports seats clad in Crayon Grey leather with La Carrera Panamericana embroidered in Graphite Blue on the headrest. It also features Crayon Grey door panels, Slate Grey floor mats, a dashboard, & steering wheel, a Crayon Grey strip on the top, and '911 Carrera S La Carrera Panamericana 1952' lettering on the dashboard.

Unique, isn't it? Well, the car is not for sale but will be auctioned next year, the proceeds of which will go to a charitable organization.
