POLESTAR Boosts Volvo T5 & D4 engines
Kuala Lampur: Volvo Cars acquired the Swedish car tuning company Polestar previously in July, for two award-winning Volvo Drive- E engines of the model year 2016 which have been released earlier this week for Volvo's T5 petrol engine and D4 diesel engines.
The latest optimizations coexist with the new generation Polestar Performance Optimization, developed and designed by Polestar engineers and the Polestar Cyan Racing drivers, which encompass the entire drive-train. The renamed racing division following Pole-star's acquisition is led by Christian Dahl.
It's clear that the hardware optimization package hasn't come into sight yet. However, at the end of the year 2015 Polestar will introduce high-performance suspension parts, exhaust systems, body kits, and even interior enhancements that will be installed worldwide. It addition, it will also be made accessible in Malaysia an year after. The Polestar Performance Optimization treatment perceive tweaks being made to the power-train’s software, increased throttle response, gearshift speed and accuracy, and engine performance. The models available for the new optimizations include the Volvo S60, V60, XC60, V40, and V40 Cross Country. In Malaysia, the Polestar Performance Optimization programme is presently offered for T4- powered Volvos.
Thed Björk (ruling STCC champion and Polestar Cyan Racing driver) mentioned that “The new Polestar optimization is about making the car more dynamic and responsive to drive. We use the same philosophy as when optimizing our race cars, to create a completely balanced package. And this is exactly what we have focused on with the new generation optimizations for Volvo cars: power-train optimization for real life driving,”
