Peugeot Malaysia offers an extended 7-year warranty package for a limited period

KUALA LUMPUR: Bermaz Auto Alliance Sdn Bhd, the sole distributor of Peugeot vehicles in Malaysia, has rolled out a new warranty and service package. Applicable on new Peugeot vehicle registration, the pack offers an extended seven-year warranty and seven-year free service maintenance along with exclusive car insurance subsidy offers.

The Peugeot extended warranty package is a limited-time deal valid from 1st September to 31st October 2023. It is applicable to three Peugeot models - 2008, 3008 and 5008. That means this limited-time promo is not available for the Landtrek pick-up truck.

According to Peugeot, the upgraded warranty and after-sales package aims to offer customers a worry-free ownership experience.

Bermaz Auto Alliance Sdn Bhd launched the locally-assembled 2008 last year in January. It is offered in a single Allure trim, priced at RM 134,103. It comes powered by a 1.2-litre PureTech turbocharged three-cylinder engine producing a maximum power of 110 hp and a peak torque of 230 Nm. The power is sent to the front wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.

The locally assembled Peugeot 3008 and 5008 were launched in Malaysia in late 2021. The two SUVs come with nearly identical specifications with the seating capacity as the only difference. While the 3008 offers a seating space for five occupants, the 5008 houses seven seats. The Peugeot 3008 Allure price tag reads RM 170,288 while the Peugeot 5008 Allure retails for RM 186,288.

Both SUVs come equipped with a 1.6-litre Twin Scroll Turbo engine, which is good for making 165 hp and 240 Nm. The engine comes mated to a quick-shifting 6-speed automatic gearbox.
