Petronas introduces ‘Frontliners Support Programme’ amidst the pandemic

KUALA LUMPUR: It was only recently that Petronas donated medical equipment and supplies to help the frontliners in the fight against the COVID-19 outbreak. Further, it is also aiding mobility for the national heroes that include routine maintenance of the vehicles for selected medical frontliners.

In conjunction with the vehicle service provider, RessQ 60 Min, the national oil and gas company has announced the ‘Frontliners Support Programm’. Under the said programme, free Petronas Syntium oil will be offered at select hospitals and Petronas AutoExpert outlets, starting today until April 28.

Petronas COVID-19 Support Programme

The mobile service would be conducted at specific dates at each hospital from 9 am to 4 pm. Hospital and their respective service dates are given below-

  • April 20 and 21 for Hospital Sungai Buloh
  • April 22 and 23 for PPUM
  • April 24, 27 and 28 for HKL

As for the participating Petronas AutoExpert outlets, they are Autohuas KL located at the Tiong Nam Industrial Park in Taman Sri Manja, Shah Alam, and in Seri Kembangan.

COVID-19 Support Programme

Certain conditions are applied to the said Petronas Frontliners Support Programme -

  • Beneficiaries need to be verified healthcare frontliners or employees of Hospital Sungai Buloh, Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM), and Hospital Kuala Lumpur
  • Each recipient is eligible for one free oil change only
  • Not applicable for cars under the manufacturer’s warranty
  • Petronas engine oils are subject to availability
  • Hospital service locations welcome both walk-ins and appointments
  • Syntium 3000 5W-30 will be offered for vehicles with a displacement of more than 1,600cc and Syntium 800 10W-40 for vehicles with a displacement of 1600cc or less

All the other Petronas car services and parts will be chargeable, including oil filters. RessQ 60 Min mobile centers will offer car batteries with a starting price of RM 241 for NS4ZL battery and RM 1277 for a DIN95 battery.

Payments for the services mentioned above are to be made by credit card or cash at the participating AutoExpert outlets, or via cash or telegraph transfer to RessQ 60 Min through the service provider designated bank account.
