Nissan unveils all-new Sylphy at 2019 Shanghai Motor Show
KUALA LUMPUR: Nissan has unveiled the all-new Sylphy at the ongoing 2019 Shanghai Motor Show. It gets a new look along with the latest Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies that enhance the connectivity, comfort, and confidence for the driver.
The Executive Vice President of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd, Daniele Schillaci said, “The all-new Nissan Sylphy represents the full landing of Nissan Intelligent Mobility in China.”. He further added, “With an even more stylish design and advanced connectivity and safety technologies, the all-new Nissan Sylphy gives customers a whole new level of confidence and excitement, befitting of a leading family sedan.”
Designing wise, new Sylphy gets an aggressive stance at the front and features Nissan’s signature V-motion grille. This is attached with the angular headlamps, which has the “boomerang” lighting signature style. Coming to the sides, there are prominent shoulder lines present across the wheel arches. The wraparound taillights at the rear get the similar “boomerang” look like the headlamps. It also gets a faux diffuser, which adds to its sporty appearance.
Getting inside the car, a redesigned dashboard welcomes you and features an 8-inch central display. The display is placed on the triple air-con vents and climate control switchgear. There is a flatter centre console, which is located near the USB/AUX inputs, gear lever, engine start button, and cupholders.
Furthermore, there is a new steering wheel design, followed by a middle seven-inch screen and an instrument cluster, which sports two analogue dials. For better comfort, it equips with Soft 3D Multilayer ergonomic seats having the light grey, black or tan upholstery.
Under the hood, the car houses a 1.6-litre HR16DE Gen3 naturally-aspirated four-cylinder petrol mill, which is mated to an Xtronic CVT. Also, there are a lot of safety technologies that includes Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Cross Traffic Alert, and Intelligent Driving Alert Blind Spot Warning.
However, the carmaker has not revealed the four-wheeler’s price yet.
