Nissan to unveil the Hyper Tourer EV concept at 2023 Japan Mobility Show

KUALA LUMPUR: The much-anticipated 2023 Japan Mobility Show will kickstart on October 26, 2023, with lots of interesting road-ready models and prototypes, including the all-electric minivan concept, the Nissan Hyper Tourer. 

The key highlights of the Nissan Hyper Tourer concept are as follows - 

• The Nissan Hyper Tourer is based on the essence of omotenashi (Japanese hospitality)
• It features an aero-optimised exterior with a flat-sided body, sharp character lines, chiselled bumpers, and kumiko-patterned wheels offering the vehicle a premium feel
• The electric minivan has a white waistline that serves as a headlight and signature lamp

• The spacious interior of the car underpins the Nissan EV Technology Vision, which combines compact components and high-energy density solid-state batteries, resulting in innovative car packaging and ultra-low centre of gravity
• The new Nissan concept is equipped with an advanced e-4ORCE all-wheel control system that, according to the automaker, offers smooth and flat acceleration and deceleration

• The cabin offers a relaxing space with a blend of digital and nature. The overhead console and lighting boast Japanese kumiko and koushi patterns while the LED floor showcases the visuals of a riverbed and the sky
• The front seats are capable of a 360-degree swivel, enabling both front and rear-seat passengers to engage in face-to-face conversations

• To view and operate the navigation and audio available on the front central display, rear-seat passengers can use a wearable display 
• Also, part of the kit is an innovative AI system that can observe the individuals’ biometric signs including brain waves, heart rate, breathing, and perspiration and automatically adjust the lighting and select music as per their mood

• The concept is also loaded with fully autonomous driving capabilities, V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) functionality, and a high-capacity battery. The setup allows the provision of electricity supply to homes, stores, and offices
