Nissan NP300 Navara to be Launched in Malaysia in November
Kuala Lumpur: Local authorised dealer of Nissan, Edaran Tan Chong Motor has announced the launch of much awaited Nissan NP300 Navara. Upcoming version would be the 12th generation of this small pick-up truck and is expected to hit Malaysia in November 2015. According to the brochure, it would be a sole double-cab body style.
Under the hood, it would be employed with a better version of the current 2.5-litre diesel engine with common-rail direct injection and variable geometry turbocharging. This engine is capable of delivering a maximum power of 190 PS along with a pek torque of 450 Nm. Further, it is mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission with manual mode while a six-speed manual transmission could be expected in base variants. Talking about the suspension, it would get a multi-link rear suspension with coil springs which would be used for the first time in pick-up segment.

The all new NP300 Narvana will offer a host of segment-first features for its exterior and interior as well. Towards the front fascia it would be integrated with LED headlamps along with boomerang-shaped LED daytime running lights. Further, it is anchored with 18-inch alloy wheels and has got a keyless entry as well. Inside, it gets zero gravity inspired seats, push button ignition, a multi-function steering wheel, Bluetooth connectivity and dual-zone automatic climate control with rear seat air vents.
The automaker has also provided an array of safety features in this car. It is integrated with Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), traction control, four-wheel Active Brake Limited Slip (ABLS), Hill Start Assist (HSA) and Hill Descent Control (HDC). Nothing much has been revealed about airbag mechanism but it is expected to come with seven airbags atleast on range-topping models.
