Nissan Gripz Concept showcased at Frankfurt Motor Show 2015
Kuala Lumpur: Nissan has come forward with its futuristic design concept moniker as Gripz Concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2015. The company has kept a majority of details a secret, but the initial look and features of this stylish crossover suggest that it may be the All New Juke. According to the Japanese automaker, the drive of the all new Gripz will be similar to Nissan 240Z which was the Safari Rally winner back in the 1970s in Africa. Nissan Europe Boss Mr paul Willcox's says, “ 240Z car was perhaps Nissan's first crossover”. Gripz Concept can be surmised as a partial rally car, partial hybrid, partial off-roader and partial sport coupe aspects, making it a praiseworthy attempt by the Japanese automaker to draw attention to the company’s future.

Nissan also gave a timeline display at the showcase of Gripz concept. Apart from which, the company also flaunted the cutting edge technology and sumptuous design which would seem in the coming generation of Nissan drives. Nissan claims the Gripz is based on a lightweight construction and a hybrid powertrain under the striking hood.

The Nissan Gripz Concept has been billed with futuristic styling that features a V-shaped grille and a pair of sharp headlamps. Nissan Gripz represents a sporty compact crossover for a new, younger generation inspired by the classic desert rally cars and racing bicycles. The crossover features a pretty radical design theme with the front of the car dominated by a bold V-motion grille. The curvy body of this car gives it an aerodynamic appearance enhancing the appeal. The car has uniquely designed 4 side doors with the rear two hinged because there are no 'B' side pillars in this concept car.
The interiors of the all new Japanese concept are highly influenced by a racing bicycle and is made of carbon fibre. The car boasts a 2+2 seating configuration with overall dimensions counting to 4100 mm x 1890 mm x 1500 mm (L x W x H) along with a wheelbase of 2580 mm.
The company has kept mum regarding the exact tech specs, but sources suggest that the concept is equipped with the marque’s Pure Drive e-Power hybrid system. Also, the system is comprised of a petrol engine that is employed to deliver a power which is exactly same to the electric motor found in the Nissan Leaf.
