New Pagani supercar coming soon; features a strong aeronautical theme
KUALA LUMPUR: A mysterious teaser video has been posted by Pagani showing the automaker’s latest creation. Though the details about the upcoming supercar are limited at the moment, it appears to be aircraft-inspired.
Accompanying this short teaser video was the following cryptic message, "On December 17th, we will celebrate Air Speed. Stay with us and hold on tight!"
The first thing we see in this 15-second video is a pilot tube mounted on a big piece of blue-tinted carbon fiber, which appears to be placed on the car’s roof or hood. Also, this device is etched with the words ‘Airflow Sensor. Handle with Care’. Being a Pagani, we believe it is not the typical mass airflow sensor. In fact, this one here looks like the one found on Formula One race cars and even aircraft.
After the sensor, the Pagani teaser shows us the gauge that looks like a speedometer, except here the velocity is measured in knots and not in kmph or miles. Doing duty here is a red needle and an analog dial. Also, the speed of sound, aka Mach speed, is provided by a vertically oriented digital readout present inside the gauge. In the teaser, the car goes to Mach 0.12, which is quite a quick pace for an on-road vehicle.
Apart from the visuals, Pagani’s latest teaser gives us a good piece of engine sound that seems to be of an internal combustion unit. Thus, making it clear once and for all that, it is not an electric car. The upcoming Pagani supercar was supposed to make its debut at the 2021 Geneva Motor Show; however, it’s not the case now, due to the pandemic.
More details about this mysterious Pagani car will be revealed soon, so, stay tuned.
