New Ford Ranger FX4 will go live on Facebook and YouTube on June 3

KUALA LUMPUR: The official distributor of Ford vehicles in Malaysia, Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), is all set to launch the new Ford Ranger FX4 in the country. As per the recent announcement made by the firm, the launch event will be broadcasted through both Facebook and YouTube Live on June 3 at 11 am. With such an event, Ford Ranger will become the first pick-up truck in Malaysia to be launched simultaneously via both these platforms. 

The new FX4 is built for those who enjoy taking their truck on life’s adventures. It brings a host of fresh and unique features that are apparent from the first glance. The exterior poses a bold and tough look while the cabin has a rugged and thrill-seeking lifestyle that complements the adventure.

The new Ranger FX4 also comes with the latest technology and safety features seen in the current Ranger vehicles. It includes rain-sensing wipers, 4X4 Shift-On-The-Fly, light and nimble electric power-assisted steering (EPAS), and daytime running lights. 

Safety features comprise two airbags, hill descent control, limited-slip differential, hill launch assist, ABS with EBA and EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts, rollover mitigation, electronic stability control with traction control, adaptive load control and trailer sway control.

SDAC has also come up with a scheme to celebrate the launch, the first 150 customers who buy the new Ford Ranger FX4 will get the following accessories worth RM 5,398 for free: 

• Free in-built digital video recorder with an 8GB memory card, which offers several smart and safety functions like HD recording, night view recording, wide-angle viewing, and Mobile App connect via Hotspot. 
• Exterior accessories including an executive tinting and a matte black sports bar 

To take advantage of free accessories, the interested customers can book the pick-up truck ahead of the launch by reaching out to the Ford's Digital Salesperson at +6019-204 1200 from 9 am – 4 pm, Monday – Friday, excluding public holidays. Customers can also be linked with an authorized sales representative through the dedicated WhatsApp channel.

“For customers visiting our showrooms and service centres nationwide, we would like to welcome and assure you that the necessary precautions are in place to ensure the health and safety of our visitors and staff as outlined by the Government. This includes the practice of social distancing, temperature checks upon entering the premise, hand sanitizer dispensers located at common areas, in addition to frequent sanitizing of high contact points throughout the premises, including service and display vehicles,” said Jeffrey Gan, Managing Director for Retail and Distribution, Malaysia, Sime Darby Motors.
