New BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A tyre is now in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: BFGoodrich recently launched the new BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A premium “on-road plus” tyre in with superior on-road performance and light off-pavement capability.

Made for SUVs, pickup trucks, light-duty commercial vehicles, and vehicles with an all-wheel drive (AWD) system, BFGoodrich claims that the new Trail-Terrain T/A tyre is built to last through any season throughout the year, and engineered to perform in all weather and road conditions.

Michelin Malaysia’s Managing Director, Oliver Biggart said that the new BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A tyre actually responds to the increasing demand among drivers who are engaging in more outdoor activities after spending a lot of time at home during the recent pandemic.

He added that the tyre is ideal for owners of All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) crossover utility vehicles (CUVs), sports utility vehicles (SUVs), and light trucks who are adventure-ready, and regularly do mild off-roading, carry gear, and indulge in outdoor recreational activities.

“Due to the pandemic, not only has leisure travel replaced the work commute, but people are increasingly looking to go outdoors, or turning to home improvements and DIY projects. Thus, they need vehicles that are ready for anything.

Featuring an optimized footprint design that includes a full-depth 3D Locking Sipes, the new Trail-Terrain T/A tyre promises to offer excellent tread block stability for even wear, resulting in longer tread life, as well as a quiet and comfortable ride. The tyre is also covered by a 6-year manufacturer warranty.

The tyre comes with a three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) rating which continues to provide traction long after the mercury drops, thanks to the aforementioned 3D Locking Sipes that provide plenty of grip over the full life of the tyres.

The folks at BFGoodrich also claim that the new tyre is designed to resist chipping and tearing in occasional gravel road usage, with the Serrated Shoulder design that is optimized for soft-soil traction in light off-pavement situations without compromising road noise.

Available at selected Michelin authorized dealers nationwide, the new BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A tyre comes in 41 sizes that cover all key OE fitments for SUVs and light trucks.
