Naza Italia welcomes Azwan Yahaya as the new Chief Operating Officer

KUALA LUMPUR: Naza Italia, the sole distributor of Maserati cars in Malaysia, has appointed Azwan Yahaya as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). The recent launch event of the all-new GranTurismo marked the beginning of his leadership journey at Maserati Malaysia. 

Let’s have a look at Azwan Yahaya’s previous experiences and his responsibilities at Maserati Malaysia -

Azwan's wealth of knowledge spans more than twenty years in the automotive industry, which makes him exceptionally qualified for the position. Before joining Maserati Malaysia, he held key leadership roles at a renowned German automotive company, where he showcased his expertise in strategic leadership and operational proficiency. 

His outstanding educational achievements include an MBA from the University of Sunderland, UK, which has further honed his skills and deepened his knowledge in the field of business management.

At Naza Italia, Azwan Yahaya will play a pivotal role in driving the brand’s vision and objectives forward in the Malaysian market. As a key leader, he will be responsible for overseeing and implementing initiatives that align with the company's long-term goals and aspirations. Azwan's direct reporting line to the CEO of Naza Automotive Group signifies the importance of his position and highlights the significant impact he will have on shaping the brand's direction and success. 

As mentioned earlier, Azwan's journey at Maserati Malaysia kicked off with the unveiling of the all-new second-generation GranTurismo, which made its worldwide debut in 2022 The new GranTurismo is offered in two variants in Malaysia - Modena and Trofeo, priced at RM 738,800 and RM 878,800 respectively. Both variants are powered by the brand’s new Nettuno 3.0-litre twin-turbo 90-degree V6 engine, producing varying output levels depending on the model. The automaker has confirmed that a new all-electric Folgore model will also join the lineup at a later date.
