More clarity on BMW X3 and iX3 facelift

KUALA LUMPUR: The BMW X3 is all set to reveal itself and before that happens the SUV is getting caught time and again slowly unfolding the changes. After the first batch of spy shots released a few days back, here’s a fresh batch revealing the upcoming X3’s design language in depth.

The SUV front end looks similar to the modern-day BMWs. For instance, the grille hasn’t got any bigger, instead, the two units intersect in the middle. The headlights seem angular than before and feature a black-out tint as well. Also, the front bumper looks sporty this time around.

As for the rear, we notice a revised set of tail lights that like the front lighting units get black-out tint and a massive pair of exhaust finishers. Furthermore, the rear bumper will come integrated with vertical air vents that are probably fake.

What about the cabin? No interior images of the X3 facelift available yet but it is expected to benefit from several revisions. On top of the list are new upholstery and an updated infotainment system.

Along with the new inclusions, the SUV will retain some of the good-old stuff too, like wireless charging, Apple CarPlay connectivity, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon Surround sound system.

Under the hood configurations are said to remain the same as before. The lineup will continue to feature diesel, petrol, and plug-in hybrid mill options. However, 48-volt mild-hybrid assistance is expected to be a standard offering across the range.

Along with the facelifted X3, BMW is also bringing the revised iX3. Both the models are said to make a global debut in June, an exact date is yet to be announced. As for the BMW X3 M, it is expected to arrive by the end of 2021 or early next year.
