Mitsubishi unveils Ralliart editions of the Pajero Sport and Triton

KUALA LUMPUR: Back in May, Mitsubishi announced the comeback of its in-house motorsport and tuning division, Ralliart, which was killed off in 2010. As per the plan, the Japanese automaker now introduced the Ralliart editions of the Pajero Sport and Triton in Thailand. But contrary to our expectations, the special edition brings only cosmetic tweaks and not performance upgrades. Let’s check out the details, starting with the Pajero Sport Ralliart.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What are the key highlights of the Mitsubishi Ralliart editions?

The Pajero Sport, Triton Ralliart features a gloss black Dynamic Shield radiator grille, darkened bi-LED projector headlamps and 18-inch wheels. The fender arch moulding, roof, tailgate spoiler, and shark fin antenna are also finished in black.
  • How much does the new Mitsubishi Ralliart editions cost?

Mitsubishi will announce the prices for the new Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Ralliart and Triton Ralliart editions at the upcoming Thailand International Motor Expo.
  • Based on the 2.4 GT Plus trim, the Pajero Sport Ralliart features a gloss black Dynamic Shield radiator grille edged by darkened bi-LED projector headlamps. The fender arch moulding, roof, tailgate spoiler, and shark fin antenna, all are decked up with black finishing. In line with these elements, 18-inch wheels also get black treatment.

Included in the other Ralliart-specific highlights are Ralliart-branded red mud flaps, special decals, and Ralliart floor mats with red piping. The available colour choices are White Diamond and Jet Black Mica.

Coming to the Triton Ralliart, this special edition pickup gets the same treatment as the Pajero Sport with some add-ons, including a Ralliart bed liner, black door mirror caps, and door handles. It comes in two body styles - single and double-cab, the former benefits from a seven-inch head unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity options, while the latter continues with the conventional unit. Power comes from the tried and tested 2.5 litre turbodiesel engine mated with a five-speed manual transmission.
