Mercedes-Benz E-Class Teaser Video Released
Kuala Lumpur: Recently we broke the news about Mercedes-Benz E-Class being tested for 12 million kilometers. Now, this German automaker has released a teaser video which gives a glimpse of the E-Class exterior. This comes just before its unveiling at the 2016 Detroit Motor Show which is scheduled to be held on January 11. This video clearly indicates towards the new design language of Mercedes-Benz which has also been adopted by the S-Class and C-Class.
Going by the video, the new E-Class looks much larger than the C-Class along with a sleek design. Further, the sloping roofline gives it a coupe-like silhouette. The most highlighted feature in this video is the new Multibeam headlights that replace the older arrow-inspired headlights. These headlamps feature Multibeam LED module which uses 84 individually controlled LEDs in each lamp. This makes the lamps more precise and bright and makes them turn towards the direction you are moving. This technology is similar to Audi's Matrix OLED system.
Further, towards the front fascia Mercedes-Benz E-Class features a more aggressive styling. Apart from a redesigned grille, it also gets a huge company's insignia and full-width air intakes. Moreover, the video also shows its well-crafted bonnet along with dynamic body lines. Thanks to the MRA platform, it has been able to lose a considerable amount of weight. Moving towards the interior, its dashboard features a large high-resolution twin display of 12.3 inches per screen. Further, the steering wheel is also embossed with touch-sensitive control buttons which help the driver to operate everything without taking hands off. Apart from that, it would also get an upgraded infotainment system with 23 speakers.
Nothing much has been revealed about its powertrains but it is likely to get both petrol and diesel engine with impressive fuel economy. After its launch, this car would be all set to compete with the likes of Audi A6 and BMW 5 series.
