Meet Volvo Malaysia's new promising offering, the XC40 Recharge Pure Electric
KUALA LUMPUR: Volvo Malaysia introduced the all-new 2022 XC40 Recharge Pure Electric in its lineup in March, and since then, the EV has been nothing but beneficial to the brand. With high booking and interest among the buyers, the XC40 Recharge has the potential to take the automaker's sales charts to new heights.

"The encouraging sales numbers is a stepping-stone to our all-electric journey. Just a couple of months ago we launched our first fully electric car and announced the local assembly of EV cars. We have started delivery of the cars to our customers since April, providing them with a vehicle that allows them the freedom to move in a personal, sustainable and safe way," said Volvo Car Malaysia managing director Charles Frump.
As a result of such high orders, Volvo Car Malaysia has closed all online order requests for the XC40 Recharge 2022 model year. The automaker will open its ordering booking again after introducing the 2023 XC40 Recharge.
2022 Volvo XC40 Recharge: A quick recap
Introduced in March 2022, the XC40 Recharge is the electric version of the already available in two variants XC40 model. Priced at RM 262,460, it is cheaper than the Hyundai IONIQ 5 and Mercedes-Benz EQA 250 AMG Line.
It is powered by two e-motors generating a total power output of 408 PS and a peak torque of 660 Nm. It completes the century sprint in just 4.9 seconds, and so is the quickest Volvo SUV offered in the market.
