Meet the Huracan Sterrato, Lamborghini’s first all-terrain super sports car
KUALA LUMPUR: After teasing for a while, Lamborghini has finally taken the wraps off its new off-road-ready beast, the Huracan Sterrato. The Italian luxury sports carmaker released a series of exterior images of the car ahead of the official premiere, to be held at the Art Basel in Miami, USA on November 30.

The Huracan Sterrato is Lamborghini’s first all-terrain super sports car featuring several off-road centric design touches and a V10 engine.The new Lamborghini spearheaded a new “all-terrain supercar” segment and is said to be the last Lambo housing a purely internal combustion engine. Post that, all the upcoming Lamborghini cars will feature some sort of electrification.
The all-new Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato is based on the Huracan EVO and will be powered by the same V10 engine as the donor model. While output numbers of the terrain version are yet to be announced, the said mill churns out a maximum power output of 640 PS and a peak torque of 600 Nm in the standard format.
To navigate through the rugged terrains, the supercar will come equipped with four-wheel drive technology. As for the smooth transmission of power, a 7-speed automatic transmission is likely to be a part of the mix.
Design-size, the Sterrato features several off-road centric design touches and also sits notably higher compared to the standard Huracan. Among the key exterior highlights are -
- A reinforced front bumper with a stone guard and a pair of auxiliary LED lights placed on either side of the brand’s logo
- Robust body cladding with high-profile tyres protecting exquisitely designed alloy wheels
- Flared-out fenders
- A cool air intake on the roof paired with a set of roof rails
- A new khaki body paint featuring a satin finish and contrasting red accents on the claddings and brake calipers
- A redesigned rear bumper offering better departure angles
“The Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato is the first super sports car designed for maximum driving pleasure even away from the asphalt on loose or dirt surfaces, reinterpreting the very concept of sportiness and emphasizing the brand principles of brave, authentic, and unexpected,” says the automaker.
Lamborghini’s new track-ready weapon will go up against the Porsche 911 Dakar, which is set to be revealed in a short while.
