Meet McLaren’s new supercar, the GTS
KUALA LUMPUR: The all-new McLaren GTS has made its world premiere as a replacement for the GT. The latest model is built on the same architecture as the GT and shares the majority of its bodywork, however, it gains updated styling, new interior trims, and a series of modifications beneath the surface.

The McLaren GTS is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing a maximum of 635 PS and a peak torque of 630 Nm.“The new McLaren GTS offers an unmatched blend of McLaren driving dynamics and performance, with refinement and practicality. The key highlights of the all-new McLaren GTS are -
- On the front, the new McLaren supercar features a ‘hammerhead’ signature styling with a new lower front bumper section and newly sculpted air intakes
- The front intake air blades and the new, taller air scoops on the rear fenders are now available in gloss visual carbon fibre, reflecting the brand’s racing DNA and giving the GTS a more aggressive look
- The supercar also sports a large rear diffuser, dual exhausts, new GTS badging, a new ‘Lava Grey’ colour tone, and unique GTS ‘Turbine’ forged alloy wheel
- Customers can opt for a Sports Exhaust system for a raw supercar soundtrack on demand, Stealth Badge Pack for a black finish on the badges, and an underbody carbon pack for adding carbon fibre finishing on the front splitter, side skirts, rear bumper, and diffuser
- The updated choices of interior upholsteries include - Softgrain Aniline Leather seats with double-piping patterns and new contrast stitching
- The McLaren GTS is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing a maximum of 635 PS (up by 15 PS) and a peak torque of 630 Nm
- The power is sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox mated to Comfort, Sport, and Track shifting modes and an electro-hydraulic steering
- Performance-wise, the supercar accelerates from zero to 100 kmph in 3.2 seconds, zero to 200 kmph in 8.9 seconds, and hits a top speed of 326 kmph
- The suspension duties are handled by an adaptive suspension system, As for braking, it gets 390 mm six-piston front and 380 mm four-piston rear carbon-ceramic brakes
- Also part of the kit is - a 7.0-inch infotainment unit, a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, 12-speaker Bowers and Wilkins sound system, and a panoramic glass roof
The all-new McLaren GTS is now available to order in Europe with deliveries set to commence in 2024.
