Both are equipped with the same 6.5-litre V12 engine that churns out a maximum power of 780 PS and a peak torque of 720 Nm. The power is sent to the wheels via a seven-speed Independent Shifting Rod (ISR) transmission paired with an AWD system and a Dynamic Steering system that handles all four wheels.
“The V12 engine is one of the pillars of our history and our marque’s success,” said Stephan Winkelmann, Automobili Lamborghini Chairman, and CEO. “As we head towards embracing a new era of hybridization at the heart of our Cor Tauri strategy, this is the Lamborghini way of celebrating the naturally aspirated V12 with two one-off vehicles that perfectly represent our concept of excellence in personalization.”
Designed by Lamborghini Centro Stile, these supercars pay tribute to masterpieces of Lamborghini design - the Sesto Elemento, the Reventón and the Veneno. “We have created two one-off cars with their own unique character, inspired by track days and the high-octane circuit environment,” said Mitja Borkert, Automobili Lamborghini Head of Design.
Both models are packed with a full carbon fibre body and feature the brand’s conventional hexagon theme. While the front and side profiles of the supercars look pretty much the same, the rear design sets them apart from each other. The Invencible boasts a massive motorsport-derived spoiler supported by two flanking fins while the Autentica is kitted with roll bars, inspired by open-top racers of the past.
When it comes to the Lamborghini Autentica and Invencible cabins, both feature a theme matching to their exterior shades. However, the entire layout of the cabin looks much familiar with a cockpit-inspired central tunnel, hexagonal air vents, and clean lines throughout the dashboard.
After this final salute to the V12 engine, Lamborghini looks forward to the hybrid era.
