Powertrain & Performance
Powering the supercar is a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine making 739 hp and 800 Nm of torque. The drive is sent to the wheels via a 7-speed gearbox with revised ratios.
In addition to the enhanced engine performance, the car also benefits from weight reduction which adds to its performance.
The McLaren 750S is significantly lighter (30 kg) than the 720S which allows the car to go faster. Marked as the brand’s lightest production car at 1277 kg, it features a carbon fiber monocoque construction. As for the hardtop convertible Spider model, it gets a carbon fiber upper structure and a composite RHT.
Another interesting bit is the car’s 10-spoke ultra-lightweight forged alloy wheels which come as standard and are the lightest wheel ever fitted on a series-production supercar.
The supercar completes a century sprint in just 2.8 seconds with the Spider trim taking just 0.1 sec more.
Braking & Handling
Ensuring better handling is McLaren’s new-gen linked-hydraulic suspension system called the PCC III. It features revised geometry, bespoke accumulator tuning, and new lightweight springs. Other notable inclusions are Mclaren P1-inspired center-exit exhaust and McLaren Variable Drift Control (VDC).
The car also comes equipped with a new McLaren Control Launcher (MCL) that allows the driver to store a favorite combination of powertrain, aero, transmission, and handling settings.
