KUALA LUMPUR: McLaren unveiled its all-new high-performance hybrid supercar, the Artura, back in February. The car was supposed to launch this winter in the US, which has been pushed back due to the ongoing chip shortage issue. It will now hit the roads in July 2022, as per a report by Automotive News.

Coming back to the McLaren Artura, the supercar features a sleek design inside and out. It is equipped with an eight-inch high-resolution infotainment unit, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity along with over-the-air updates, 10-way power-adjustable sports seats with heating, a Pirelli Noise Canceling System, Alcantara, Nappa leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, front/rear parking sensors and ADAS systems like adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and road sign recognition.
Powering the McLaren Artura is a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 mill, coupled with an axial flux e-motor combined producing a maximum power output of 671 horsepower and a peak torque of 730 Nm. Broken down, the V6 pumps out 577 hp and 584 Nm, while the e-motor delivers 94 hp and 225 Nm. The powertrain is coupled with a 7.4 kWh battery pack, offering 30 km all-electric power alone.
With a rear-wheel-drive system, the Artura can hit the century sprint in just three seconds, 0-200 kmph mark in 8.3 seconds, and 0-300 kmph in 21.5 seconds. The top speed is rated at 330 mph.
