McLaren 765LT Strata Theme by MSO revealed

KUALA LUMPUR: The new McLaren 765LT is a supercar hauled by a 765 hp twin-turbo V8 hitting 0-100 kmph mark in just 2.7 seconds. To celebrate its arrival, the automaker’s personalization department, MSO has added more flames to the working machine. It revealed the McLaren 765LT Strata Theme, featuring a three-tone colour scheme, inspired by a city skyline.

The Strata theme has intricate cityscapes patterns, bold geometric patterns, as well as McLaren F1 racing liveries. It combines an Azores Orange base colour with Cherry Black and Memphis Red accents that run in opposite directions through the entire scheme. The brake calipers are also a part of this makeover; the front ones get Volcano Red finishing while the rear ones have Azores Orange accents.

The MSO team claims that the body graphics and paintwork alone take a whopping time of 450 hours to apply.

Heading inside, this 765LT features Strata graphics, MSO logo on the headrests and door sills donned in carbon fibre. The Memphis Red used on the exterior can be seen here also; it has been applied on the steering wheel’s 12 o’clock marker, behind the shift paddles, and in other areas. The cityscape theme extends to the key fob also that takes 14 hours of painstaking handwork. 

“The 765LT Strata Theme by MSO is a stunning demonstration of what can be achieved by our expert team. It serves as either a ready-made design, which can be ordered by your retailer or as inspiration for you to develop your own unique 765LT,” said MSO boss Ansar Ali.

The 765LT is the long tail version of the 720S supercar, which is not only longer but also lighter than the standard model. It gets power from a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission for quicker in-gear acceleration. 

For the standard 765LT, customers need to shell out a hefty amount of $358,000 (RM 1.48 million) and for the 765LT Strata Theme, it seems that one really needs extremely deep pockets.
