Maserati to make its motorsport debut with ABB FIA Formula E World Championship

KUALA LUMPUR: Maserati has officially announced that it will be taking the first step in its motorsport strategy with its debut in the 2023 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Thus, making it the first Italian brand to compete in Formula E.

With motorsport in its genes, the return to the track will surely renew Maserati’s racing spirit. Furthermore, the brand’s high-performance spirit and attitude towards electrification align perfectly with the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship which is the world’s first all-electric road racing motorsport series.

Maserati will debut from Season 9 with the new Gen 3, the lightest, fastest, and most powerful Formula E racing car ever. Further, it is the world’s most efficient racing car with a series of industry-leading production, design, and tech innovations.

With the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, Maserati gets a perfect platform to showcase its unprecedented racing heritage. The brand’s commitment to electric mobility can be judged by a lighting surge of new energy that is now accelerating to run at top speed with Folgore. Also, all the new Maserati models - the MC20, Grecale, GranTurismo, and GranCabrio will be available in 100 percent electric solutions.
