Maserati MC20 undergoes cold-weather trials
KUALA LUMPUR: Yes, you read it just right. Maserati is putting the MC20 through all sorts of tests and trials. Thus, making sure that when out in the open, the supercar lives up to the company's reputation and can complete each task in hand with utmost efficiency.
We have been seeing, reading, and hearing about the MC20 for quite a while now, but never have we seen it set-free on a low-grip surface. And it all changed, when we were taking intensive cold-weather trials on the beautiful snow-covered roads. The location is as mesmerizing as it sounds, Valtellina and Ghiacciodromo Livigno, are Italy's famous snow and ice circuit.

The MC20 is also engaged in a varsity of reliability tests - on-road and track, under various driving conditions. All with the aim, to prove its caliber and dominance in the segment.
Coming back to the latest cold-weather trial, the MC20 undertook the mission to test several aspects like -
- Evaluate engine cold starting
- Low-temperature performance
- Handling on low-grip and cold surfaces
In addition, the cold-weather trail of MC20 also tested the super car's braking and suspension performance, battery, and functioning of the Climate Control System.
The result? As expected, the MC20 took every challenge on its way gracefully, no problem at all. In fact, the trial seemed to have enhanced its opposing personalities.
The MC20 originated from Maserati's racing DNA but is destined for series production.
