Maserati Grecale SUV makes debut in style; takes on the First Glance Run

KUALA LUMPUR: At Goodwood’s 28th Festival of Speed Maserati's latest SUV, the Grecale made its dynamic debut.

The SUV participated in the famous hill climb, the First Glance Run during the four-day event that took place from 23rd to 26th of June. Here, the new Maserati was put to test on a 2.6 km course.

Present at the Grecale debut was Maserati’s global brand ambassador, David Beckham. The world sport legend who is also a philanthropist, businessman, and a style icon arrived at the event like a true icon, in a Grecale Trofeo version. David Beckham and Maserati’s partnership goes back to 2021 and is fired up by their common passion for technological innovation and
Made in Italy design.

It was in the Trofeo version that the Grecale showed its driving prowess as it tackled the famous hill climb.

Key details about the ‘everyday exceptional’ SUV, the Maserati Grecale -

Variants: Maserati will be offering the Grecale SUV in three variant options namely, GT, Modena, and Trofeo

Engine: All three Grecale variants feature a distinct powertrain, for instance, powering the GT trim is a 4-cyl mild hybrid mill generating 300 hp of power. The mid-spec Modena variant gets a 330 hp four-cyl mild hybrid unit and the range-topping Trofeo variant comes with a high-performance V6 petrol engine making 530 hp of power

Also present at the hill climb route was Masrati’s another supercar, the MC20 in its new Cielo spyder version. The car made a dynamic debut last year at the Festival of Speed only and it was recently in May 2022 that a high-perperfonace variant, the Cielo spyer was added to the line-up. Here are a few quick bits about the new MC20 variant -

• The Cielo sypder weighs 65 kg more than the coupe
• One of its main attraction is the innovative retractable glass roof
• It also gets state-of-the-art electrochemical window that can go from clear to opaque at just a touch of a button
• It gets best-in-class roof with thermal insulation and an opening & closing speed of 12 seconds
• Powering the Cielo spyder is the powerful F1-derived V6
• Nettuno engine that offers jaw-dropping acceleration and exceptional power to weight ratio
• The car completes a century sprint in just three seconds
