Maserati Grecale Fuoriserie gets a special order from MARS

KUALA LUMPUR: Maserati recently launched its smallest crossover, and just like the rest of its cars, the Grecale is also a part of the brand's Fuoriserie Program. Under this customisation program, customers (of course with a bucket load of cash) can order a unique vehicle. And guess what? Their first customers have already arrived, but they are not from EARTH! - Well, that's what Maserati's press release says.

So, here's presenting the Grecale Mission from Mars - a car that 'goes beyond the boundaries of the Earth.'

This special, one-of-a-kind Maserati Grecale is not really for a wealthy Martian, right? However, whatever might be the case, we were just amazed by how the car was presented. The Grecale Mission from Mars catches your attention, and it's hard to take your eyes off this beauty.

What special does the 'Martian's' Grecale get over the regular model?

This one-off Maserati Grecale is covered in a unique paint finish exuding a molten metal effect. Called Galactic Orange - it is a special textured metallic paint inspired by the Mars mineral dust and metal erosion.

The special Grecale also features a special set of Vortex Wheels and the Trident emblem with a glitching effect on the C-pillar.

The cabin remains largely similar to the regular model and even gets the same 12.3-inch display on the dashboard's center. However, separating the regular from the Martian version are the seats "inspired by the electric currents on Mars with astronauts' spacesuits." Also, the panoramic sunroof gets a star chart for the "intergalactic motorists."

Another highlight of the cabin is the upholstery technology used in crafting the seats. As per Maserati, the process involves multiple steps, including "transverse lasering with a contrasting multi-coloured welded backing, taping, silicone coatings, embossing and debossing on leather." Common automotive materials such as Alcantara and leather are also used.

How much does the Grecale Mission from Mars cost? Well, that's for the concerned Martian to know and pay. As for the regular Grecale. it goes for a hefty sum of $63,500 (approx RM 268,605).

Jokes aside, Maserati's Grecale Mission from Mars projects the automakers into the future, its passion, and its unbounded customisation ability.
