Malaysia's glow in the dark road markings cost nearly 20 times more than conventional markings, money wasted or well spent?

KUALA LUMPUR: The Ministry of Works (KKR) acknowledged the need for glow-in-the-dark road paint on the East-West Highway (Jeli-Gerik) to make the roads safer,  however, they realise that this innovative approach is nearly 20 times more expensive than the conventional methods currently in use.

    The pilot project for glow-in-the-dark road lines was first implemented in Jalan Sungai Lalang, Hulu Langat, Selangor, by the Hulu Langat District Public Works Department (JKR). This project also included light-reflective features on road dividers.
