Malaysia gets Ferrari’s new soft-top convertible, the Roma Spider
KUALA LUMPUR: Alongside the Ferrari Purosangue, Ital Auto Malaysia has also introduced the Ferrari Roma Spider in Malaysia. The drop-trop iteration of the Roma replaces the Portofino M and is priced from RM 3,200,000 (after taxes and duties, before options).

The Ferrari Roma Spider is powered by a 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that cranks out 620 PS of maximum power and 760 Nm of peak torque.The new Ferrari Roma Spider comes equipped with a roof-retraction mechanism, integrated headrests for the back seats, and a wind deflector. The roof is made up of a five-layered bespoke fabric and can be opened in just 13.5 seconds at vehicle speeds of up to 59 kmph. The car weighs 84 kg more than the standard Ferrari Roma that tips the scales at 1,570 kg.
The new Ferrari convertible runs on the same 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine available on the coupe version. The said powertrain cranks out 620 PS of maximum power and 760 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to an eight-speed DCT gearbox sending power to the rear wheels, which enables the grand tourer to propel from zero to 100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds. The top speed is rated at 320 kmph.

An 8.8-inch display for the passenger is also available as optional.
