Malaysia-bound Maxus Mifa 9 launched in Singapore
KUALA LUMPUR: It was only recently that the official distributor of Maxus vehicles in Malaysia, Weststar Motors confirmed the local arrival of the Mifa 9 on its social media handle. Well, ahead of that, the electric MPV had made its way to Singapore.

Based on the Maxus Intelligent Flexible Architecture, the Mifa 9 measures 5,270 mm in length, 2,000 mm in width, and 1,840 mm in height. The wheelbase is measured at 3,200 mm. These dimensions put it in direct competition with the Toyota Alphard and Hyundai Staria.
Powering the Singapore-spec Mifa 9 is a front-mounted electric motor which kicks out a maximum power of 245 PS and a peak torque of 350 Nm. In terms of performance, the electric MPV runs from zero to 100 kmph in 9.2 seconds and hits an electronically limited top speed of 180 kmph.
The motor is fed by a 90 kWh battery pack that lets the EV run for 435 km on a single charge. The latter takes 8.5 hours for a 5 to 100% state of charge when using an 11 kW AC socket. However, with the help of the fast 120 kWh DC charger, 30- to 80% SoC can be attained in 30 minutes only.
Standard equipment of the EV includes - LED headlights, LED fog lights (rear), LED tail lights, 19-inch wheels, powered tailgate, powered sliding doors, panoramic glass roof, 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen unit, 7-inch digital instrument panel, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, 64-colour ambient lighting, wireless charger, in-car air purifier, leather upholstery, electrically adjustable seats, and USB ports.
The Mifa 9 is also kitted with advanced safety gears like - adaptive cruise control, integrated cruise assist, blind spot monitoring, rear-cross traffic alert, autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, 360-degree panoramic camera, parking sensors, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
